Blogging Experience

There are many people on the web who just enjoy blogging as a hobby. Some use it as a stress relief; others use it as a place to clear their minds. Blogs that usually fall underneath this category are possibly your daily rants of being pregnant, documenting of your new dog, or telling of what you plan on doing that week. If you want to write about it, then go right ahead. A blog like this is great for yourself and possibly for your network of friends and family. You should not expect many people who do not know you reading your blog, unless you have a very interesting life or make the average person thing like vacuuming a comedy series.

Blogging can be a great way to gain readership and visitors. A great example of this is if I had an online business of selling anything. A great way to get more people to my site to watever your selling would be to blog about gift ideas for different types of people. A broad search in google would lead the person to your blog with a great article which then might lead them to your business website to buy a basket. Outside of the business world, gaining strong readership will help you if you ever try to write for money. If you gain a committed reader of your blog, then they will most likely read your other writings elsewhere. The best way to gain popularity is to have a blog with interesting and frequent content. Personal blogs like ones that go through every minute of their life is not the right blog for this category.

best reason to blog is because it can actually earn you some money. If you have a great blog with great articles, then you might attract many readers. If you start having advertisement up, ones that blend in with your site, then those advertisements and al those readers looking at those advertisements could add up some extra dollars for you. However, this can be the hardest and most frustrating way to blog. It takes time and patience.

Just like writing for a byline is a great way for writers to get experience and add a job to their portfolio, so is blogging. Blogging gives you an example site where you can post good writing. You can also write in your writing portfolio that you maintained a blog for so many months. The only downside to this is that the upper class writing jobs or writing jobs offline could care less about blog writing. Before that discourages you, there are many online writing jobs that accept blogs as a writing job. They may also like to click on one site and read several of your samples rather than go through all your word documents you send them. Also, writing a blog may help you develop your web writing skills and possibly your research skills for deeper topics. Again, personal blogs like I have mentioned above should never be added to your online writing resume.

Many of you have probably heard of a blog. Many sites offer countless of free blogs to anyone with just about any passion or subject matter. So, you may be asking yourself, "Should I get a blog?" My answer to this would be, "Yes." I guess you can call me an old fashioned guy, but I believe everything is worth trying at least once. I especially think something is worth trying if it is free. If my simple yes is not good enough reason for you to get a blog, then maybe these reasons will be. Its fun, and u get to meet new people.
